Synesthesia, in simple terms, is the name of a disorder in which melodies, numbers, and smells are defined by colors or shapes in the brain.
It is exactly the same for me, when I smell something, a shape and color of that smell appears. For me, designing a scent is like completing the pieces of a puzzle rather than drawing a pyramid and placing notes in certain proportions. At the same time, in order for my work to be completely my own, I have not smelled any scents designed by other artists for a very long time, because I do not want anything influence me directly or indirectly.
Therefore, I honestly do not have much of an idea about what the mainstream is or what people like. I just try to make works that i enjoy and think they are nice, as a distiller who is distilling artisanal ouds and processing high-end materials. And I want to state that the works I make may not be for everyone.
How did Synesthesia born ?
I have a bottle that I call “distillers’ gift” where I have collected a certain amount of all my distillations, macerations, tinctures, spice and flower extractions that I have ever made, and synesthesia was born from this bottle, and it does not have a formula, because I have no record of the proportions of the ingredients in my bottle, I opened my bottle, smelled it and picked up my other oils, over time I made different additions and synesthesia took its final form as a completed puzzle in my mind.Synestesia is a unique work due to several reasons . Firstly, it is a limited batch without a formula and secondly, I don't know if a similar work has been done before, every single ingredients in this perfume, I produced completely with my own labor and hands, I did not use any ready-made products from outside
